BTA Members Engage at 2026 Summer Leadership Conference

Several members of the Brewster Teachers’ Association (BTA) recently joined educators and union leaders from across the region at the annual NYSUT Tarrytown Regional Office Summer Leadership Conference. Held August 10–11 at the Windrose on Hudson Conference Center in Ossining, New York, the conference provided BTA members with an opportunity to learn, collaborate, and strengthen their leadership skills ahead of the new school year.The two-day conference brought together educators from throughout the region to share ideas, explore current issues affecting public education, and develop strategies for building strong, engaged school communities. Sessions focused on leadership, communication, advocacy, collaboration, and the important role educators play in supporting their colleagues and students.

BTA members actively participated throughout the conference, gaining new perspectives and connecting with colleagues from other school districts. These opportunities allow educators to bring fresh ideas and valuable experiences back to Brewster, strengthening the work they do on behalf of students, colleagues, and the broader school community.
The conference also provided time for members to build relationships with fellow educators and union leaders. These connections are an important part of learning from one another and working together to address the challenges and opportunities facing public education.
The BTA is proud to support its members in pursuing leadership and professional development opportunities. Investing in the growth of educators ultimately benefits the entire Brewster community and helps ensure that our schools remain strong, collaborative, and focused on providing the best possible educational experience for our students.
As the 2026–27 school year approaches, BTA members are returning to Brewster with new ideas, renewed energy, and a continued commitment to our students, our schools, and our community.
